Jada Shapiro founded Boober in 2017 to connect new parents with lactation consultants, doulas, and postpartum support providers. It grew from a Brooklyn idea into a nationally operating platform. Incorporated in Delaware, authorized in New York State (DOS #5530253, active since April 2019). Registered at 182 8th Avenue -- one block from her front door on Windsor Place.

Before Boober, Jada Shapiro co-founded Birth Day Presence with Anna Merrill in 2002 -- one of Brooklyn's first dedicated birth and postpartum support services. The business ran out of 182 8th Avenue for over two decades, rooted in the same Park Slope / Windsor Terrace community. The foundation that made Boober possible.

Garry Golden -- the block's unofficial mayor at 40 Windsor Place -- runs Into the Future, an educational program for youth, teens, and adults in South Park Slope. Garry holds an MS in Futures Studies and brings that lens to after-school programs, summer events, and community education. The operating address is 477 7th Avenue; the brain behind it lives around the corner.

Brendan Gonzalez and Jess run Windsor Inspections out of 28A Windsor Place -- Brendan's family home, where his mother Susan raised him. NY State licensed home inspector (#16000121704), InterNACHI certified. Services cover all five NYC boroughs: home inspections, XRF lead paint testing, termite, sewer scopes. The business is named for the neighborhood, built on the block.

Eric Jacobson creates kinetic sculptures, mobiles, and mixed-media metalwork from his home and studio at 7 Windsor Place -- where he has lived since the 1980s. Curved brass tubing, stained glass, steel. Member of the Park Slope Windsor Terrace Artists open studios. His work has shown in multiple neighborhood exhibitions. The studio is the house.
